The treasury of national jewels or national jewerly museum of Iran
The background of jewels of Iran dates back to safavid era in which it was decided that national jewels belong to national treasury of government . the valuable collections of this museum comprises of the pink colored diamond of (daryaye – noor ) , the peacock throne or (Takht-e- Tavoos) , which was made during the reign of Fathalishah . the other outstanding collections are respectively , a golden globe (atlas ) , of Naser-al-dinshah , with 34kg of pure gold having 51366 pieces of jewels weighing 3.656kgr . On this golden atlas or globe. southeast Asia including Iran and Britain have been distinctly defined with diamonds and India with rubies. Scluptured pieces of turquoise of (persian : Firoozeh ) and large pearls of the persian golf have been used to adorn this globe. Many of the iranian royal jewels from Safavid , Afshar , Qajar , and Pahlavi dynasties are located in this museum .
National treasury jewels are so artistically historicaly and uniquely and important that even most skillful experts and evaluators of the world can not determine its real or approximate value.
