Rayen castle

There is a mountain by the name of Hezar mountain that the altitude is 4501 meter above the sea level . in the skirt of this mountain in a very mild temperature you can visit a historical castle by the name of Arge rayen . rayen is simillar to arge bam ( it was destroyed in an earthquake in 2003 ) a medieval mudbrick city but smallar than that one . totally rayen is constructed in an area around 22000 square meter .

Rayen castle was inhabited until 150 years ago , and athough belived to be at least 1000 years old , may have foundations from the pre islamic era . but remaining are from 15 cntury . it was situated on the trade route and it was one of the trading centers for valuable goods and quality textiles . it was also center of sword and knife manufacturing and Later on guns.

Rayen has sevaral fruit gardens and mines of green and pink marble , Sodium Solphat and several thermal spirings that it has become an attractive tourist destination.
