Avicenna or Abu ali sina

( father of modern medicine )

Avicenna ( Ibn sina ) was a persian polymath and one of the most famous physicians from the islamic golden age . he is known as the father of modern medicine and his most famous work in medicine called the book af healing . which became a standared medical text book at many european universities and remained in use up to the recent centuries . his book of the *Canon of medicine* was reprinted in new york in 1973 that his work and theories are still alive and in use.

His tomb is located in Hamadan city the center of Hamadan province . Abo Ali Sina or Ibn Sina was living between ( 980 – 1037 A.D ). and often is known by his latin name AVICENNA .  he was so genius that he surpassed his teacher when he was 14 years old and in his lifetime he was written more than 450 books in various subjects .
